Deric Keller’s entrepreneurial journey began unexpectedly. After serving as a highly decorated combat veteran in the United States Marine Corps, Deric entered civilian life searching for direction. What began as a reluctant job in automotive sales quickly became a turning point. He saw firsthand what was broken in traditional sales environments—and rather than conform, he chose to build something different.
Deric reimagined the way automotive businesses could operate, creating a model grounded in transparency, accountability, and values. That discipline fueled the growth of multiple ventures into multi–7-figure enterprises. As complexity increased, so did his appetite for solving it. Deric discovered a unique strength: taking large, overwhelming problems and breaking them into structured, manageable systems that teams could execute with clarity.
During the growth of one of his companies, Deric was introduced to Exit Momentum as a client. Applying the framework with rigor, he scaled his medical testing laboratory to more than $10 million in revenue. His mastery of simplification, accountability, and structured execution stood out—and ultimately led him to join the team as a coach.
Having overseen teams of more than 500 people across 14 locations and organizations generating up to $500 million annually, Deric understands the strain that rapid growth places on leadership, culture, and operational discipline. He works with leaders to bring order to chaos—helping them scale from a place of clarity, alignment, and ownership rather than reaction.
Today, Deric leads Exit Momentum’s western division. His greatest satisfaction in coaching comes from watching leaders experience the “lightbulb moment”—when complexity gives way to clarity and momentum becomes intentional.
Beyond business, Deric continues to live out the discipline forged in the Marine Corps. He has been married to his wife, Leslie, since 2005, and together they are raising seven children. He remains passionate about physical and mental challenge, participating in endurance and resilience-based events including the Endeavor Team Challenge, GoRuck events, Spartan Races, 11 Summits, and multiple marathons.
Deric believes that disciplined leadership—grounded in values, clarity, and personal ownership—creates both high performance and lasting freedom.
